Veronica uses technology after she challenges The Saddle Club to a race, which puts her and Garnet in danger. It's up to The Saddle Club to rescue them.

Fresh from a riding lesson with Miss Amelia, Carole is devastated to learn her father Colonel Hanson is being deployed overseas. The situation only gets worse, when Carole finds out she must now live with her Aunt Penny in the city, leaving the Saddle Club and Starlight behind. Distraught at having to leave her friends, Carole gallops out of a riding lesson and relays the terrible news to her best friends. The Saddle Club vow to never split up and both Lisa and Stevie are quick to offer Carole a place to stay. With the help of miscommunication and Veronica's meddling, the girls end up bickering during a gig at JB's, leaves Carole in tears. Thinking it would be better for everyone if she left Willow Creek, Carole agrees with her father to stay with her aunt in the city and says a heartfelt goodbye to Starlight. Meanwhile Melanie and Jess do everything in their power to hide the miniature donkey Trouble, first at Pine Hollow and then at home. And Simon, a new computer savvy student arrives at Pine Hollow, but his fear of horses keeps him from actually getting on a horse and he spends most of his time avoiding his stern riding instructor, Miss Amelia.

Intent on keeping Carole from moving to the city, Stevie and Lisa try to un-arrange Carole's accommodation with her Aunt Penny only to be found out by Colonel Hanson. Unable to leave Starlight behind, Carole resolves to runaway with her horse. When Lisa and Stevie eventually find her, Carole urges them to camp out so her father and Mrs. Reg can't find them. Lisa and Stevie agree and begin to help Carole build a corral for their horses. When Mrs. Reg and Colonel Hanson finally track down the Saddle Club, what the Colonel sees makes him realize he can't tear his daughter from her friends or her horse. A goodbye party at JB's quickly turns into a celebration, when Carole announces she will be staying as Pine Hollow's first live-in border. The Saddle Club and other Pine Hollow students are ecstatic, but Veronica is less than impressed. Meanwhile Simon fakes an injury to get out of riding a horse but Miss Amelia sees through his scheme. And Miss Amelia resigns much to the relief of Max who now doesn't have to fire her.

Something is upsetting the horses at night. Could it have something to do with the arrival of a mysterious new student, Desi?

A favourite trail near Pine Hollow is closed off by Desi's father, but the Saddle Club are forced to trespass on it when miniature donkey, Trouble lives up to his name.

The District Interclub Competition is about to take place at Pine Hollow. Stevie is dared by the boys to rough ride. They are so impressed at her zip they invite her to be the third rider on their team in the Willow Creek Time Trial.

When Stevie gets injured, Carole and Lisa offer to stop riding, out of solidarity. Stevie thinks this is a silly idea, but Veronica realizes she can work the angle when she sees a magnificent racehorse brought to Pine Hollow.

The Saddle Club happen upon a disused gold mine and hear its history from Jess's grandfather, an ex-circus strongman called Orlando. Veronica heaps scorn on the old timer, so the Saddle Club resolves to teach her some manners...but things come unstuck.

Having forged a bond with Midnight, Simon cannot stomach the thought of the beautiful horse being put down...so he resolves to do something about it - and the Saddle Club are quick to involve themselves in a good cause.

It is the annual trials to set the rankings for the Pine Hollow students and Veronica is looking down the barrel of coming second to Stevie...this prompts Veronica to do something extreme.

When Stevie finds a championship medallion in Old Sweetwater, she reunites the medal with its reclusive owner Rosemary Cross who overcomes her tragic past to horse ride again.

Carole develops allergic symptoms and fears she has an allergy to horses. She swears Lisa and Stevie to secrecy, but they worry that the allergy is making Carole an unsafe rider. Could this be the end of the Saddle Club?

Diablo appears when Lisa is out on a ride with Prancer, and she quickly gallops after him. Lisa returns to Pine Hollow excited about Diablo's return, but Stevie and Carole are skeptical and try to resume their study session for exams just days away. Unfortunately Lisa is more distracted than ever and she promises to study only after they find him. Lisa leads Stevie and Carole to the forest trail, but their search turns up nothing. Lisa tells Stevie and Carole that she'll continue looking for him alone. Diablo finally returns to Lisa and she brings him back to Pine Hollow. Later that day, Stevie is concerned when Belle falls ill and the vet suspects a virus. When the vet asks if Belle has been exposed to any wild animals, it finally dawns on Stevie - Belle was in contact with Diablo. Lisa leads Mrs. Reg, the vet, Carole and Stevie down to Diablo only to find the paddock empty. As Belle's condition worsens, Stevie blames Lisa for bringing a diseased animal to Pine Hollow and Lisa realizes if Belle is sick then Diablo might be too. Carole manages to convince Lisa to take her exam before she goes to find Diablo, but Lisa can't concentrate during the test and runs out upset, determined to find him. Lisa returns after searching for Diablo to find Stevie watching over Belle, her condition hasn't improved. Meanwhile Mrs. Reg insists that Veronica help a very shy girl, Lilly, prepare for her practical exam. Veronica takes over coaching from Simon and Desi, and surprisingly her loud and abrasive methods have unexpected results. And Trouble thinks that Melanie and Jess are too focused on their study to pay him attention, so he forces them to notice.

Pine Hollow is quarantined by a suspected outbreak of equine influenza. Lisa has to bring Diablo in to establish if he is the source of the outbreak.

A mystery pony appears at Pine Hollow and follows Carole everywhere, which is a good thing since it saves her life.

When Veronica removes Trouble from the stables, she upsets the miniature donkey and his companion Danville Duchess, who escape on a cross country adventure. Only Jess and Melanie's detective work can find the donkey.

An adventurous mock fox hunt turns dire for Simon the Fox when he rides into dangerous terrain and is injured. Will the other Pine Hollow students stop bickering and find him in time?

As Lisa continues to improve her jumping skills, giving Carole and Veronica a serious run for top spot, Prancer's old leg injury flares up.

When Garnet refuses to make the double oxer jump, Veronica is humiliated and implements cruel measures to make Garnet more obedient.

When Veronica hears Samantha Askew, a young wealthy girl with a link to the royal family, is visiting Pine Hollow, she sets about improving everything and everyone.

After an argument with her sister, Melanie is distraught to hear Lisa wish she didn't exist. Upset, Melanie runs away on her pony and Lisa must venture out with Prancer in order to find her and make things right.

Devastated after failing his Bernouli Training School audition, Jack tries to resign from Pine Hollow. Wanting him to stay, the Saddle Club convince Max to let Jack work in the office and try to reignite Jack's love of horses.

Trapped at Pine Hollow due to flash flooding, the students are forced to endure a sleepover. When Desi goes hyper after she thinks she's eaten paprika, she takes delight in telling everyone how it really is.

Stevie and Lisa have an argument on the Saddle Club Anniversary, it looks like the group could be splitting up. It is up to Carole to make the girls look beyond their differences and remember their love of horses, in order to save their friendship.

As part of their final assessment, the Pine Hollow students take part in an overnight endurance ride. But when the group start bickering and Garnet goes missing, the students must use their survival skills and teamwork to find the horse.

After Carole is selected for a scholarship at a prestigious international riding academy, the Saddle Club must host a JB's musical fundraiser, so Carole and Starlight can afford to travel overseas and take part in the opportunity of a lifetime.
