The theme of this week's episode is Stay in School. Benita gets a bad mark on an omniology exam so she drops out of school and gets fired. Streeters . What are the best qualities in a teacher? Then and Now: By the year 2000 as technology becomes more advanced there will be very few jobs that do not require a high school diploma. What's Your Beef? The new Archie comic digests have a lot of the same stories as the old issues. The publisher claimed this was a mistake but told the viewer that they do re-run stories after 5 years. Field Item: A young girl from Regina Saskatchewan who has dropped out of school many times until finding a school in Regina with a focus on Indigenous Culture through their Cultural Awareness Program. At Scott Collegiate she feels more accepted and comfortable in her high school classes. Also includes interviews the Cultural Awareness program Instructor and students who have benefitted from the classes. Fit for the Pit: The imitation Webster's Dictionary contains fewer words than the real one but looks almost identical. Working for Credit: Many schools have programs where students take interesting volunteer jobs to earn course credit for high school instead of taking classes. One student works at a radio station and another works at a law firm. Field Item: Katrina is a high school dropout who now works as a bike courier. Ad-Vice: Jamie investigates Zellers. claim that they will beat the prices of other stores. Noah Scott goes to the Fantastic Flea Market in Toronto to do some bartering. What's Your Beef: Is 2 for 1 pizza really a deal? Loose Change: What happens to the coins that people throw into fountains to make wishes? Video Views: Review of the movie .Home Alone.. Shop and Rock Spotlight: Jonathan talks about being cautious of deals and offers. Ken Pompadour talks to the boss of Buy-Co about sneaking ads onto the show (K) Then and Now: Comparing the prices of VHS players. Street Test: Nhu investigates if buying in bulk is a better deal using candy as an example. She compared packaged candy, bulk candy from a grocery store and bulk candy from an exclusive bulk candy store. Grocery store bulk candy is the cheapest but the taste of Sweet Factory candy was superior. Cash Flash: Is a washed and torn five dollar bill still ok to use? Stores won.t accept it but the Bank of Canada will refund a portion of the bill by measuring how much of the bill you return. Streeters: Do sales signs make you more likely to buy something? A viewer goes through the whole process from signing a contract with an agency to working as an extra. She learns that it is better to not go through a casting agency. Fit for the Pit . Celebrity gossip magazines that give out star addresses. Street Census . What do you think would be the best thing about being a celebrity? What's Your Beef? Kraft Super Mario Bros and Regular Macaroni boxes do not contain the same amount of macaroni. Then and Now . Celebrity endorsements for Mars bars candy bars. Streeters . Fit for the Pit: Miracle Bush Tomatoes are supposed to grow huge tomatoes with high yields but they tested them out and only got 1 tomato in 6 months. What's the best thing about living in the city? World Watch: A look at integrated pest management as an alternative to pesticides. Ken Pompadour pitches a Street Cents store to the gang Benita Ha and Jonathan Torrens investigate the price differences between items they can purchase at the mall and stores outside the mall. They discover that services are cheaper on the street and products are usually cheaper in the mall Jamie Bradley is not allowed to leave the mall because of what happened at the other mall. Street Census: .What are you most likely to do in the mall?. Neil investigates direct payment machines at checkout tills and explains how they work. Ken works on his Street Cents store and tries to get Jamie to promote the merchandise from the store. Video Views: reviewing a movie called .Career Opportunities.
