Tim and Rebecca & their 2 children bought their chateau de la Ruche for £380,000 in the Pays de la Loire. They have not had paying guests for 3 months and are financially challenged. But now as Christmas approaches they are expecting guests. 300 miles away in SW France is a 20 room chateau on 30 acres, 1 and a half hours from Lyon. Britain Amy and French husband Marc operate a B & B and Yoga Retreat here. They need to replace an old septic system. In NW France in Chateau de le Grand Madison near the Loire Valley, musicians Ben and Billy need to renovate the last room. It is the old library which has been used for storage. After clearing the room out they need to replace a large skylight. Ben gets help from friends to lift the 100 kg glass pane. When finished they hope to hold book club meetings there.

Tim and Rebecca set out to expand their B & B by creating their first family suite. Musicians Ben and Billy with their daughter have been renovating for 7 years, but believe it is all a lifetime of work. They are wanting to restore the old library so they can hold book club meetings. Angel helps Billy with a display coffee table, to display fossils found on Ben and Billy's property.

Tim and Rebecca at Chateau de la Ruche struggle to get their driveway ready for guests driving high-end sports cars. They are in the Pays de la Loire area. Neighbour Alan lends them his tractor and trailer to move the gravel. In SE France in a 130 acre property lies an hour and a half from Lyon the new sewage system continues by Amy and Marc. They are also taking down a wall in the guest dining room.

Rebecca visits Angel to learn how to stretch money for renovations and decorative tips with a bit of creative know-how. A couple renovate a bedroom by getting designer fabric panels for the walls and installing them. Another couple are to host her brother's wedding shortly so they need a lighting plan to showcase the outside of their chateau.

Tim and Rebecca reach a breaking point as they struggle to complete their kitchen. They have to paint some 2 nd hand door fronts and carefully measure up for the granite counter tops. Ben and Billy are hosting a family member's wedding, so Ben sets up a special bar area for the pre-wedding BBQ.

Stephanie plans to end the year in style by throwing a Christmas dinner to remember. Jane and Steve have a mound of work to do to get ready for a family Christmas, their chateau is near Toulouse. At Dick and Angel's chateau they are looking forward to their favourite season, Christmas. Angel is looking for logs for the table decorations.

Stephanie starts renovating her fifth and last B&B suite and visits Angel for help with a mirror. She has to strip wallpaper off and make curtains but she has some fabric already. Lee has a roof leak, the job is expensive to get a tradesman in so he asks a friend with a cherry picker to help, there is one problem, Lee is very afraid of heights. At Jane and Steve's chateau there is some delicate mosaic work that needs to be repaired.

Stephanie enlists help to get her fifth and final B&B guest room finished. Lee and Belinda plan their first wedding booking, and they make a water feature in the garden. Jane and Steve have a working party weekend as friends come and help with various chores, before they are treated to a wonderful dinner. But before the dinner, a large range stove has to be lifted from a trailer into the kitchen.

Then they go to the plant nursery to buy a few plants for the same area.

Ithaca and Alex have a 44 room chateau, it is an hour's drive from Calais. On their land they have a large maze which takes a lot of hedge trimming. The chateau needs a new roof, the owners were lucky to obtain a grant from the Ministry of Culture to help pay for it. They are planning on hosting an Antique and Flower Fair to raise more funds for the roof. They hope to attract at least 3000 entrants. Ithaca gets busy talking to Suppliers who she hopes will attend the fair. 300 miles south is another chateau that was bought for £279,000 and the couple from England and Scotland are making a Tea Room for the public but due to regulations they need to make an Accessible Toilet, and this entails drilling out a wider door.
