On 21st February 1982, flying at 4000 ft, the pilots of Pilgrim Airlines flight 458 had to make a tough choice: Either get burnt alive trying to steer the plane to safety, else move away from cockpit fire and certainly die in a crash.
On 19th August 1980, returning from Pakistan, Saudia flight 163 caught fire mid-air. The captain kept calm in emergency and safely landed the plane at Riyadh Airport. Yet, no one on board survived. How is this possible?
