In the heat of a summer's day Jack goes fishing for Roach in a drought-stricken river. He then visits his local village fair where they are celebrating the past to raise money for a Christmas dinner for the old people of the village.
Jack visits A.E. Partridge and Sons, the last remaining fish hook maker in Redditch. Back home, he builds an earthworm farm to 'seed' his new patch of garden.
Jack takes us to Cork in Ireland for the final of the annual sea angling competition. He then goes hunting rabbits with a Coney Dog he had bred the previous season.
