Ichikawa breaks his arm at the start of the third semester. His teacher asks Yamada to help but Ichikawa declines as they aren't close. Yamada overhears worrying Ichikawa, but she asks their classmate Adachi to help instead.
Valentine's Day is a week away, and Kyotaru finds himself roped into making chocolates with Anna and her friends. But complications arise when Moeko claims Kyotaru as her bae.
Despite all the time Kyotaru has spent with Anna, he discovers that there is so much more he doesn't know about her. More importantly, he realizes he wants to change that.
The unenviable duty of delivering the class graduation speech falls to student representative Kyotaru. With encouragement from classmate Anna, he tries to overcome his nerves.
Kana embarrasses Kyotaro with his send-off speech recording. Jealous, he follows Yamada to a karaoke session, leading to a heartfelt conversation. The next day, Kyotaro gives Yamada a bracelet during a double date, making her overjoyed.
Kyotaro and Yamada start their third year of middle school, drawing glares as they hold hands. Chi is relieved to be in Yamada's class. After Yamada gifts Kyotaro a wallet chain, an embarrassing moment occurs.
