The Count of Champignac invents a machine and that machine is able to transfer him into the genetic condition of his ancestors. The Count transfers into the alchemist Ebenezer of Champignac who was the owner of a formula to produce gold. The Count is producing a lot of gold and gives it to people in Champignac. The two criminals Vito Cortizone and Rupert are able to break out of jail again and they observe the Count. They both kidnap him to get his gold. It turns out that the gold is fake and the Mayor of Champignac wants to arrest the Count for cheating. In the meantime, Vito disappeared without his buddy and the fake gold. In the end, the Count is able to produce real gold and the whole city celebrates him because he gives the city a huge golden Mayor-statue as a present.

Fantasio is currently reading a lot of books about the middle age and he would like to know how it was living then. Aurelius offers him the possibility to go with him to the middle age but Aurelius prefers traveling to the Jurassic period. They arrive in this period, but there is a defect with the time machine and by accident they take one dinosaur with them to the middle age. The people there think that this is a dragon and Fantasio wants to be a hero and save the people...

Spirou, Fantasio, the Count of Champignac and some other scientists from all over the world are invited to the isolated estate of the stay-at-home millionaire Thorpe. Thorpe is working on the production of ecofriendly energy. His friend Basile de Koch, a big industrialist, seems to be interested in this experiment. When some of the scientists disappear, everybody gets scared. Spirou discovers a tunnel system under the estate of Thorpe, which is the center of de Kochs espionage. In this tunnel-system, he keeps the other scientists and wants to render them harmless, because he wants to keep producing nuclear energy. One of the scientists, a Japanese named Sushiaky, is able to do the 'Yakaya' scream, which can paralyze any enemy.

Spirou and Fantasio are in the mountains and suddenly they hear strange music, which is able to move things like rocks through the air. Spirou and Fantasio get into mortal danger and lose their equipment, but in the end Amadeus Destiny saves their lives. Amadeus Destiny is the owner of a lonely tavern, but he is not interested in any guests and he is very rude. In the tavern they meet Rose Destiny, who is the wife of Amadeus, and Grumbleston Woody, another guest. He is a strange guest, because most of the time he is playing with some of the weird instruments, which belong to the Destinys. Spirou and Fantasio want to clear up the mystery behind the instruments. They find out that it was planned to build a reservoir dam there but since the mysterious music is playing the workers ran away. Spirou and Fantasio follow Woody secretly in a big cave under the glacier with a hot spring and they see that Woody is playing with an organ. Because of his playing, a part of the cave breaks down but they save themselves at the last second. It appears that Moody is the head of the electricity society and he wanted to find out, what is the secret behind the music. Amadeus is the initiator of the strange music. His intention was to keep everybody away because he promised his deaf uncle that he would keep the valley as it was. But Woody calms him down and tells them that a reservoir dam isn't necessary anymore because the hot spring gives enough energy.

Spirou and Fantasio are on holidays in India. Fantasio buys a stone hand from a small guy, called Singhmabob, on a market. Just when he bought it, they are followed by a scary man, who has tried before to get the stone hand and who even threatened them with a curse. Back in the hotel, Spirou discovers a secret message in the stone hand. They are mugged and the hand is stolen. Spirou and Fantasio complain to the Maharadscha, but he says, that he can't help them. Later they find out that the daughter of the Maharadscha was kidnapped and they try to save her. The Princess is held at the temple of Pahtandjavel by a familiar person: Rasputnikov. He wants to steal the big ruby, the treasure from the temple, and he needs the help of the Princess. Spirou and Fantasio ask Singhmabob and his elephants for help to free the Princess, but he is not allowed to enter the holy ground of the temple.

Inspector Degloire is supervising the transport of a train with valuable paintings. Windfall, who is a criminal and obsessed with art, has two accomplices. Rice, one of them, has developed a machine with that it is possible to suck off the color of the paintings and they appear on another canvas. With the help of a fake insurance agent, they let the colors of the painting disappear and reproduce it at home at their own canvas. Degloire stands in front of some white canvas. In the meantime, Spirou, Fantasio and Jessica could get the machine and they are followed by the criminals and are attacked by an helicopter. They stumble into a dangerous situation but in the end they can deliver the criminals to the police.

Spirou and Fantasio should write a story about the secret experiments of professor ManuManu from Uhuvea. They are picked up at the airport by a beautiful assistant, called ToaToa, Suddenly the alarm starts and security arrests a man. When they arrive in the laboratory, they meet their old enemy Marylin, but her creator Dr. Oscar Lagare says, that she is harmless, because he reprogrammed her. Even the Count of Champignac is there and he tells them what it is all about. Professor ManuManu is able to produce a lot of energy with the help of a synthetically produced crystal. The experiment has only one hitch because it needs radioactive gamma rays, which already polluted one part of the isle. The Count of Champignac tries to absorb these rays with certain mushrooms. During the tests, they find out that Marylin didn't change a bit. She wants to become immortal with the crystal. Spirou and Fantasio can beat her in the fight but they are contaminated. With the help of the mushrooms, they are saved and the professor ManuManu stops his experiments.

Vito Cortizone is released from jail for good behavior. But of course, he only behaved good because he is planning a new crime. In one of the books, he read something about a monk, who discovered a diamond mine in South Africa. When he leaves jail, he dresses up as a monk and together with his friend he travels to South Africa to get the diamonds. Spirou and Fantasio nearly help them involuntarily...

The Count of Champignac made a new invention. The mycomousse should help the Hoopla-Native Americans to save their Hoopla-rock, which appeals to fall down. Bob Holgu, the grandson of the last medicine man, is happy when Spirou and Fantasio arrive with the miracle cure. But Vito Cortizone and Rupert upset their plans...

While Spirou and Fantasio are searching for a good story, they are forced off the road. The attack is directed at Alexander Ephete, an archaeologist, who is on the way to a fake temple to discover his secret. Together they find the real temple but Don Bachanal makes it very difficult for them...

It stopped raining in Australia. Norbert de Guiville, a criminal art collector, stole the statue of opossum from the Aborigines and brought it to Europe. The opossum is crying - and it doesn't stop raining in the northern hemisphere. There are flooding everywhere. Kaloo-Log, an Australian medicine man, contacts Spirou and Fantasio and the Count of Champignac explains the relationship. The trio are able to take the statue back and an Australian ethnologist brings it back to the Aborigines. As a result the sun is shining in Europe and it is raining in Australia.

Professor Sushiaki, a friend of the Count of Champignac, asks him to make a visit on the isle Bill Bill in the South Pacific. He discovered a dangerous species: blue starfish, which turn into monsters. Fantasio sees a possibility to escape from the hateful winter and he dreams about the beach - but it doesn't take long and he wishes that he would have stayed at home...

Spirou, Fantasio and some other inhabitants of Champignac, including the Mayor, win a trip to Japan. While some people go sightseeing in the town, Spirou and Fantasio meet Yakito, the nephew of their friend Sushiaki. Yakito tells them that Sushiaki was kidnapped by strangers. They start to search for him together. In the process they bump into Marylin and her intrigues. She kidnapped Sushiaki, because she wants to know how the scream goes, which can paralyze other people. Marylin wants to build a robot army and her plan is to gain the power over the world. Spirou, Fantasio, Sushiaki and Yakito can stop her at the last second.

Spirou and Fantasio take a flight to Palumbia with the Count of Champignac in his newly constructed anti-gravity aeroring, where an ancestor of the Count lived years before. Shortly before they leave, Spip destroys a glass full of dangerous mushrooms. The Count gets some spores in his face and has conniptions from time to time and acts very stupidly. There is only one thing which can help him: the golden amber from the Kezakos. Just when they arrive in Palumbia a lot of things go wrong and Vito Cortizone is also there, because he wants to smuggle rubies. But with his bad luck the plane crashes in the jungle. Spirou, Fantasio and the Count of Champignac meet the Kezakos. They are very civilized due to the earlier stay of ancestor Wladimir of Champignac. When the headman Kingsley lead them to a cave, where the golden amber can be found, Vito and Rupert surprise them. They have weapons and force them to put the gold in the aeroring. Vito tries to escape without Rupert but the gold is too heavy and that is the reason that the aeroring can't start. In the meantime, the Count of Champignac is healed and they can stop the criminals.

Spirou and Fantasio are on their way to the Count of Champignac. On the way they meet Nudge and Philbert, who say that they are spelunkers and want to explore the cave of the Count of Champignac. But it appears later, that these two are bank robbers, who want to get to the strong room of the bank by boring through the cave wall. At the same time, there is a spread of influenza in Champignac. Even the Count is sick and that is the reason he tries to develop a medicine against it. The serum is not helping and the Count has to take normal medicine. Dupilon stays at the castle and has also influenza. He drinks both medicines and changes into a big, green monster. Dupilon scares a lot of people. Spirou and Fantasio search for him and the showdown starts in the cave.

Spirou and Fantasio discover a mysterious statue in the jungle. The statue should protect the entrance of the city Machou-Taychou, the capital of Yacca. Suddenly Aurelius of Champignac, an ancestor of the Count, appears and he invites them to a time travel to the time of the Yacca. He is on the scent of a mysterious time lag. The Yacca expect him as a messenger of the gods and he tries to save the culture from destruction through the Spanish conquistadors. He travels 1000 years back into the past. Spirou and Fantasio survive many adventures, but then they find themselves back at the entrance of the city. Did they just dream? Where are Aurelius and the Yacca?

The Count of Champignac gets a parcel from one of his colleagues, which contains a special mushroom. In connection with a special machine, invented by the Count, the mushroom is able to color everything close by black. The first try with his laboratory mouse fails. That is the reason that the Count travels to one of his colleagues, who owns some modern machines. Spirou and Fantasio stay at the castle while the Count is gone. Meanwhile everybody is busy with the mayoral elections. A police-car crashes and the policemen are brought to the hospital. The prisoner Vito Cortizone is brought to the police-station of Champignac. On the next day, Spirou and Fantasio search the mouse and suddenly there is a short circuit. Spirou and the mouse become black. Nobody recognizes him anymore and Spirou gets arrested together with Vito. Vito doesn't believe him in the beginning but later he does. Vito flees and tries to get the machine from the Count. In the meantime Fantasio searches desperately for Spirou. There is another short circuit and he becomes also black and gets arrested. There is a lot going on in the city and the Mayor makes a speech about being voted in again. The police search for Vito, Spirou and Fantasio, who could also escape in the meantime. Vito searches the machine and Spirou and Fantasio search for Vito to stop him. In the end they turn back normal and Vito gets arrested again. The Count returns from his journey and when he tries his machine, he gets black as well.

The Count of Champignac asks his friends Spirou and Fantasio for help because the computer- and video-cable in his bio-greenhouse in the Antarctic is broken. Fantasio believes immediately that it was their old enemy Marylin. And he is right. Spirou and Fantasio fly to the Antarctic and get in serious danger there...

Vito and his friend Rupert transport a valuable cargo with the plane. The cargo involves boxes with Ying and Yang stickers, which should bring bad luck to people, who buy them. The two criminals start to fight and Rupert crashes into the water. Vito is not able to fly a plane and the plane crashes down. Vito is able to save himself at the last second and he lands on a lonely isle. At the same time Spirou and Fantasio gets into a big storm and they also land on the isle of Vito. But in the beginning they don't recognize Vito because he has a beard and lost some weight. Vito put Spirou out of action and forces Fantasio to get the boxes back from the sea ground. Vito wants to leave the two behind on the isle but suddenly Rupert shows up. A new fight begins. Spirou and Fantasio use this opportunity and escape from the isle. Later, the two criminals are taken by the police.

Spirou and Fantasio go on a trip to the desert with their friend Clem to write a story about the last nomadic tribe. When they arrive there, they meet a strange man called Glahglah, who is a climate scientist. It turns out that the man is an assistant of Windfall, a criminal, who wants to misuse the inventions of his colleagues to earn a lot of money...

The chief editor of Spirou and Fantasio force them into a new adventure by a trick. Twame Touala needs help very urgent. The multimillionaire Hillary Hauley tries to get the treasures from native people, which they drown in the Kanvala-Bobo sea to honor the god, with the help of the self made sea monster...

Vito and his accomplice Rupert rob a bank. Vito is caught and Rupert doesn't know where the theft is. Vito has bad luck and his attempt to break out of jail fails. That is the reason he wants to get the lucky boys Spirou and Fantasio as good luck charm. Spirou and Fantasio arrive there, because Vito tells them a good story. Vito kidnaps them and with the help of Rupert, they can escape. But Vito has bad luck again in the swamp of Florida and they need the help of the small radio device from Fantasio.

Spirou and Fantasio want to go on holiday to Scotland to visit professor Mcintouch. But already on the rail journey they are involved in a new adventure. Moreno, who is a corrupt scientist, steals animals from his colleague Tarentulo to transform them. But professor Mcintouch, Spirou and Fantasio can prevent the worst case...

Takalook, a shaman in the Arctic, and his daughter Katingrink are worried about their tribe. A mysterious blue bird seems to announce the fall of the tribe. Katingrink calls the Count of Champignac and his friends Spirou and Fantasio for help. Of course there is no blue bird. It is just a trick from their old hustler de Koch.

Spirou and Fantasio want to spend their vacation at the castle of the Count of Champignac. Aurelius, the nephew of the Count, is also there. He is listening to a song from Ce-Dee alias Marylin and gets charmed by the android Marylin. That happens to everyone who listens to the song. Luckily the Count of Champignac developed earplugs and with them it is not possible to hear anything and so they are immune against the song. Furthermore he develops a remedy CD, which neutralizes the song. Spirou and Fantasio fly to Los Angeles, where Marylin is playing a huge concert. They play the CD and everyone is healed. But Marylin swears to come back to take revenge on them.

Spirou and Fantasio return to Champignac and find an empty castle. The Count was kidnapped by the king of disguise Rasputnikov, who was dressed up as mayor. They start to search for him and they recognize that the village looks different and the people are not happy to see them. On their way back to the castle, the bridge is melting. Furthermore they see that the river is polluted with a green stinking mixture. They keep the track and end up in an old factory, which is the command center of Rasputnikov. He keeps the Count there to blackmail him with his knowledge. His aim is to get world domination with the knowledge. Spirou and Fantasio can escape from an attack and the Count develops a bomb out of chewing gum, with which they can destroy the factory. In the end the good guys win and the mayor has to apologize.
