Benton County, Arkansas, October 2017; Just after sunrise, investigators respond to a local hospital where an elderly woman, Susan Hazard, age 69, is fighting for her life after a brutal six hour rape and beating in her home. Though bruised from head to toe, Susan is able to describe the vicious assault by an unknown intruder in the middle of the night. Quick detective work points the law enforcement detectives to a suspect, Alan Rickman, but in the interrogation room, he stonewalls detectives. As evidence starts to mount against the suspect, Susan's health takes a turn for the worse and she is put into a medically-induced coma.
