He needs help from a psychological profiler, and X Middle School has the best - Frank Bishop. The problem is Frank was fired from the Safety Patrol when Vallejo failed to support him after an arrest gone wrong.

Winston Kotter, the son of the Canadian Ambassador is being shown around X, and with him comes former X student Penny Madrid - an old flame of Fillmore's. At the same time, unprecedented numbers of counterfeit baseball cards appear. Fillmore suspects Kotter, but he has diplomatic immunity.

Someone is fixing the X Middle School Mini-Golf Championships, and Vallejo needs someone to enter the tournament undercover. Fillmore is a superb Mini-golfer, but an incident from his past still haunts him when he plays the sport.

The Chestnut Family are legends at X Middle Scool, and Robert Chestnut is student council president. When a shipment of novelty foam lobster claws are stolen, Robert insists that his brother Peter - a rookie Safety Patroller - is put on the case.

When the publishers of horror novel franchise Vampirita offer a place in the books to whomever can prove they are the series' biggest fans. Diehard fans Torrey and Teri produce audition piece after audition piece, but each is destroyed. They suspect the fans of a rival series, but things aren't what they seem.

A popular cheerleader, Alexis, goes missing from X Middle School, at the same time as dowdy computer nerd Galdys returns from a sabbatical. Fillmore and Third struggle to find the former, who has been completely vanished from the school's computer records.

A brand new games console, the Ultrabox, is unveiled at X Middle School, but is subsequently stolen by a gamer who creates a distraction with a carefully choreographed stunt. He is caught, but during detention, a copycat thief steals the Ultrabox again.

Principal Folsom introduces a three-strikes rule for delinquent behavior, and Fillmore's criminal past puts him at two already. When a thug named Scooter McAllister sets him up, the only witness is a petty crook called Augie Sansone, but Augie doesn't want to be a snitch.
