Shortly after she survives a stabbing unlike her husband Jan, who had an affair with shrink Chantal. Herman believes it's not about infidelity but the computer firm Jan co-founded with Karel. More crime follows, Roos ties the knots.

Because of the guard dogs nobody could leave the estate until a vet tranquilizes them. While everyone is suspected, Roos, who suffers bowls trouble, contemplates a common colonial past with Roger and follows his own deductions.

Daisy interrupts her romantic dinner with forensic photographer Filip to dig deeper into the apparently mute case of businessman Pierre Landers. He is found dead from cardiac arrest in an abandoned villa, but his spectacles and wallet are missing. Roos ends up allowing her to drag Herman from his kid Kevin's birthday party as the trail leads to adolescent publicity deliverer Erik and the couple Rudy and Tessie Wouters, whose role is unclear. More crimes are waiting to happen.

He sends both inspectors undercover, but they fail to prevent the next theft. Alas the inside job has wide ramifications, and other crimes follow, including violent ones.

Elvis-fanatic Marcel, the owner of a dancing-bar, is beaten to death with a baseball bat on Saturday evening before show-time. He was coaching preteen Nicolas for an Elvis playback contest. The boy's parents are afraid for abuse, as he repeatedly hit his mother, who cleans there. The father, travel agency employee Peter, is inspector Daisy's schooldays ex. Leo Verstraeten, the former owner and present caretaker-jazz musician, has a business grudge and found his cat killed.

Investment adviser Emile is found shot on farmer Johan Smeets' land, next to the golf links on castle grounds where he and the local socialites regularly played. For business reasons his death is kept secret. The suspects include the farmer, who hates the club since he lost his father's land to it, and the partners in a real estate company which bids on Emile's firm; one of them has a cocaine past.

After Leentje Smolders (9) goes missing for a day, Roos sends his inspectors while he's babysitting his own godchild. They tend to believe the neighborhood, father Smolders lost custody after beating his wife. However his Bavarian alibi proves solid. The mother also was abroad, but has a secret lover. After the child's body is found, molested and strangled, Roos gets involved and sets a trap.

During the local First Division soccer team's game hooligans enter the locker-rooms. The referee is found dead in the coach's office. Roos doesn't believe it's the same people's work. He lets Herman infiltrate the hardcore fans, notably hotheads John and Dolf, who stick out in the club's files but clearly aren't friends at all. Meanwhile he tries to break to code of silence among players, staff and club officials. It appears there were financial problems and possible corruption.

Old widow Louise is found in the canal, drowned. Only Roos refuses to believe it's suicide, and gradually is proven right. She lived with homeless ex-con Polle and her hot-head, also unemployed adolescent son Sammy, both a bit parasitic. Herman's efforts are hindered as he must look after his young son Kevin, who proves a quiet terror in the precinct.

In a gym, bodybuilder Kindekens is found dead in the showers. His heart attack was staged as steroid abuse. Undercover work soon leads to illegal drugs trade in the bodybuilding circuit. But it also proves dangerous in several ways.

Op leven en dood, opa
Roos' team has defeated Jack's violent crime gang, so Jack hires hit-man Pedro to kidnap the commissioner's preteen twin grandsons Joris and Dirk. The elder twin is sent back to deliver their demand: Roos himself. Everybody is eager to help. The elder twin follows orders and takes the initiative, Daisy's bumbling gets her kidnapped as well. Roos agrees to go get the boys back. Both sides are in for some surprises.

Het wordt een mooie zomer
Herman's beach holiday with son Kevin and his wife is virtually ruined: he must help Roos examine a strangulation on the beach near where he's staying. Victim Lisette Clays' obsessive flirting with the three other couples husbands. This caused lots of jealousy, rivalry and spite.
