When 12-year-old Aynis Vargas dies in a seemingly random attack on a party, investigators piece together clues from social media, cell phone data and surveillance footage to try to get justice for Aynis, her family, and the whole community. The investigators solve the crime. Aynis was shot and killed by a masked gunman who opened fire at an apartment complex where Aynis was celebrating a friend's high school graduation on June 15, 2013 in Providence, Rhode Island. In the end, Branden "Blaze" Castro pleaded guilty to his role in the murder and shootings and was sentenced to life in prison.
