Two obscure and socially inept cartoonists try to further their faltering careers by winning over the pompous and successful insiders of the New York cartooning scene.

José Díaz, a young, naïve and hardworking accountant, decides to organize his life from a business point of view, just as his boss suggested, as a condition for a professional and salary promotion. Then, Verónica, his girlfriend tells him she's pregnant so they should marry. Without an increase, of course, José must face many problems, most of them economic.

Powell served as host and, in early shows at least, occasional star in this dramatic anthology. It was his last television series and contained his last filmed acting (episode: 'The Court-Martial of Captain Wycliff').
