His daughter Barbara might soon be disinherited, as she disapproves of his old-fashioned stakeholder care in favor of 'business numbers'. Her simpleton brother Ansgar also needs constant parental supervision and resented his mother being removed.

While sissy-teased by his professionally tattooing brother Dennis in the torture chair, healthy, athletic Chris Bormann faints and dies, poisoned. Parlor video shows Chris drunk from a coffee cup he bought at Martin Apel's food truck, and he had an affair with his promiscuous wife. But the curare poison was in the specially ordered tattoo-ink. Rebecca Mettlach, Chris's ex, is caught sneaking into his home, presumably to retrieve the ink bottles from South America, where Dennis had been repeatedly. Rebecca is the daughter of Dennis's former traditional mentor and now outdated competitor across the street, ex-con René Mettlach, yet made designs for Dennis. Also access had the Mettlachs in-living senior parlor clerk, former shopkeeper Olaf Benschneider.

During Jasper Becklund's funeral and reception, a delivery man discovers in Becklund's grand home the hastily trunk-hid corpse of a presumable intruder. Becklunds valuable clocks collection is stolen. Becklund's neighbor Sebastian Meißner is also missing, but according to colleague Olaf was Becklund's virtually in-living lover. The corpse is Sebastian Meißner. Nosy busybody neighbor Alfred Hagedon noticed people around, including Karsten Peckermann, son of the publican who hosted various receptions during which robberies occurred. The team also investigates the heirs, separated wife Greta Becklund and their adult, single son Ralph, devoted to her.

A passerby's dog finds the beached-up corpse of lifeguard Leon Richter, drowned with a non-fatal head wound, who was supposed to fill in for colleague-mate Malte Röper, a student with whom friendship since childhood was stresses. Leon's informally in-living, high-pregnant fiancee Finja Werkamp, daughter of region's largest camping owner Jochen Werkamp, acts shocked, her father admits he found Leon a dubious choice, being a poor worker and incurable womanizer. Even Leon's buddy Malte considers him poor father material, and made a photograph, found on Leon's cellphone, of a recent flirt with Malte's girlfriend Paula Liedke. The team must work out what all of them, including Finja, knew when and took how badly.

Grandpa Rolf Rothe finds veterinarian daughter Silke's corpse at home, with a fatal head wound and fight lesions. Silke's son Milan (just turned nine) seeks comfort with the predator birds they cared for at the small practice. Milan ignores his biological father Tobias Linnemann, whom she barred contact with, was not even told for years and seeks contact since he recently found out having a son. Silke used her eagle to catch and destroy the drones designed by Karsten Holthusene's firm with falconer Lukas Draheim. Yet a wildlife protection and wind mill implantation issue proves relevant.

Keys and matches found with a battered male corpse allow the team to trace him to boarding house Engel, where owners and Doris Engels recognize him as their son Frank Engel. He recently returned home after 18 years in a hellish in Indonesian prison, being caught at the airport with 100 grams of hash he ignored was in the backpack he borrowed from his cool youth buddy, former petty drug dealer Eddi Nagelstedt. The neighbors Heinze heard Frank argue with his grumpy father Karl, whose pick-up truck has traces of his blood. Digging in the past, with video tapes Edi brought by a day before, the team discovers more dirty secrets, focusing on third buddy Malte Kraus and his son Tobias (18).

Chief Reuter finally accompanies forensic doc Helene Sturbeck privately, but can't appreciate the beer tasting and they stumble upon a corpse in a brewery kettle. Victim is connoisseur Jens Schneller, whose video channel compared beers all over Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. His private life was traitorous: devoted Verena Kelm practically paid for his beer blog, craft-beer-brewer Hannah Zeidler was his housemate with benefits. Both claim to have ignored the other's role but lack a solid alibi, having been invited to the beer tasting. Yet he theme also finds suspicious money trails and blackmail potential.

Henner Simon is found at home, perhaps after catching a robber: spouse Heike Simon, a professor, notices a missing chrome statue, possibly the murder weapon, but the previous months more disappeared there and forensics finds many fingerprints, mostly from colleague Clara Hartmann. Heike Simon was at a congress in Kiel and claims the marriage was happy, which Henners employees doubt and nobody saw Heike at the congress after noon. Henner's company designer Jasper Hennlein, who invented he 'shark lacquer' his yacht furnishing business is built on, recently brawled with him 'over money'. Clara Hartmann's home is practically unused, she soon confirms Timmermans' theory that she imagine being Henner's romantic partner and couldn't handle the truth, or his wife. Lars notices a link with Hennlein.

Harbour crane operator Piet Lasseck drifts in the marina with a fatal head wound. Wife Thea denies marital tension, but the police recently had a domestic fight report and her father was abusive, Piet her victim but contacted a psychologist to file for divorce and sole custody of young Finn and Anna Lena. Piet's bully colleague Heiner Klausen terrorized him into false testifying in his favor concerning a third harbor laborer's serious accident, due to Klausen's crazy risks. Maria Zoller, who manages the club grounds, 'forgets' to mention she recently got a court order banning Sarah after troubling the visitors.

Falk Petersen saved single Miriam Scherz from a fire, waited half a year to come forward, drowned in the lake behind her estate the night after she was beaten up by a masked robber. Grateful Scherz was generous for Petersen and his partner, who planned to start a diving school. Prime suspect for the robbery is local professional Ralph Tümmler as the loot turns up. Forensics finds Petersen was murdered with a weapon stolen from the Scherz home.

Relational therapist Gunnar Wittrock is found furiously skull-smashed and -hammered again in a parking lot. Patient Torsten Simon held his 'partial therapy' responsible for their divorce. Gunnar had many affairs, which wife Franziska Wittrock almost was used to, but the latest seemed properly amorous. Did Franziska Wittrock feel obliged to save her family the hard way?

Garage mechanic and tire merchant Arne Fritsch's neck was fatally smashed in the shop and found after lunch by employee Claas Franke, who suggested to save the ailing firm by selling counterfeit Chinese tires. Arne Fritsch refused and invested his father's inheritance in a house for him and pregnant fiancee Mira Hoffmann, the ex of his former swimming club mate Bastian Werner, who was jailed for drug trade. Contractor Ronald Böhm risks bankruptcy after a major mishap on the building site and hired Bastian, ignoring the links.

On doctors orders to follow a relaxing course, captain Jan Reuter covers up his yoga and mud therapy in "Baltic Vital Wismar" for the colleagues by pretending he's on Canadian fishing holiday. Hiding doesn't work as he stumbles on a corpse in a mud tub, but Lars Pöhlmann who's in temporary charge agrees to discretion to use Reuter as undercover. Forensic lover Helene Sturbeck reports less sympathetic, even jealous of the fat man-eater patient. Victim Steffen Reinhard was slowly poisoned with many lead acetate doses, probably there and at home, rendering wife and mistress suspects. Steffen Reinhard's cash withdraws to a fiscal paradise were ruining his wind energy development firm, which devoted deputy Bert Hohlbein was expecting to run after his retirement.

Master organ builder Sören Pielham's corpse is found after a fatal fall in Wismar's Nikolaikirche where his restored organ was to star in the festive first concert by his brother, organist Hendrik Pielham, who fails to hide their dispute about a historical partition by a baroque composer. Sören had an affair with pharmacist Jan Sitten's wife Wiebke, who planned to divorce him and leave on tour of Europe with Sören. Finally there's Sören's former employee, now non-matched competitor Thomas Bungert.

Judge Holger Schmidt misses breakfast with sister Karin Wagner. His fatally breast-stabbed corpse is found in a wood waste container in the Wismar forest. The fingerprints were whipped from the murder knife. The presumed murderer of his daughter Nina, then driving instructor Markus Böttwig, was acquitted ten years ago for lack of proof and can't be tried again, despite conclusive modern DNA evidence. Holger Schmidt failed to get him to confess, the container belongs to Markus Böttwig's current employer.

Between popular local 'pirate tours' ship for kids "Klabautermann" and the marina quay drifts the corpse of crew member Merle Stegemann. On deck forensics finds cash and blood. Why was Merle aboard instead of with boy-friend Fabian Schimanski?
