Pavel gradually begins to recognize the manner of Evsey's speech. This leads him to the most stressful case in his career - the tragic story of Oksana and Daniil.
There is very little time left. Evsey gives the last hint and takes Pavel out in case of a lonely elderly lady Alisa Nikolaevna. It hurts Pavel to remember his most terrible defeat, but this is the only way he will be able to grab a thread and get on the trail of Evsey.
