Mrs Roper has her heart set on an apartment that would require that Stanley get a job in order to afford. Nothing will prevent them from getting it, that is, unless Mr Roper can make himself an undesirable neighbor.
Helen's mother comes for a visit. But later it is revealed that she has no place to go. So Helen and her two sisters get together to decide what to do, cause none of them really want her living with them.
Helen's luncheon makes her consider leaving the Cheviot Hills neighborhood. Stanley believes her and, without asking, has Jeffrey Brookes put their home on the market. Will The Ropers really relocate?
