Maxx chases an Isz into another battle with Mr. Gone. Eventually Maxx questions Gone's revelations over a roof-top pedicure with Julie, where we begin to understand why Julie is hiding from the truth.
Meet Sarah and her mother, clients of Julie's who are mysteriously linked to her past. Eventually Sarah confesses to Julie that she's carrying her father's gun, following humiliation at her school dance.
Sarah, Julie and Maxx are car-jacked by a group of Isz masquerading as punks. Once Maxx prevails, it becomes clear it's all been too much for Sarah. Maxx and Julie both try and console her, in hopes of preventing a a rash decision.
Maxx's mask falls off, and reveals what's truly underneath. Mr. Gone explains to Julie that her communication with her other selves has damaged the barriers of the two worlds. Sarah and Julie discover the truth about Mr. Clay.
