Though officially suspended Nancy suggests to Michelle that fake drugs, not guns, are the real missing cargo for which Frank was killed and breaks into the yard to gain evidence, which she does despite being threatened by Nash. She visits Tate for information on Darryl's full involvement in Frank's criminal activities, making the young ex-soldier now the prime murder suspect, but before she can warn Hayley, Nancy is taken by Nash. A stand-off on Brighton pier reveals which - if either - of the two men killed Frank with Michelle ultimately keeping Nancy's secret and Hayley making a surprising proposal.
