Teddy, Grubby, Princess Aruzia and No Name are on a mission to find plant that will save the King's life. Old Mr. Beanly and Wooly finally arrive just to stop the new attack of the Gutangs.

Gimmick is described as "inventive", which sends him on an inventing spree. At the same time, Tweeg, Eleanor (Tweeg's mother), and L.B. head back to Tweeg's Tower, and then Eleanor and L.B. send Tweeg to attempt to steal from the three in the valley. Teddy, Grubby, and Gimmick use a crystal to bamboozle Tweeg.

Gimmick want to try out a new invention, so the three fly out to the Great Desert. To cause general mayhem, Tweeg, L.B., and Eleanor follow. All six end up becoming prisoners of the Mudblups. However, the king of the Mudblups falls head over heels for Eleanor, who does not return the affection. To get out, Tweeg puts on a dress and pretends to be Eleanor, saying "she" will marry the king if he'll let Tweeg and L.B. go, with a chest full of gems, of course. Tweeg and L.B. get away scot free, while Eleanor is dragged away for marriage. The Trio impersonate Mudblups for their own escape by covering themselves in mud.

Tweeg challenges the Trio to a Grungeball game and gets Gimmick to bet their house. Tweeg's team is a bunch of ringers--sunglass-wearing Mudblups--to play against the Trio and the Surf Grunges. However, Tweeg and L.B. give the Grunges hot dogs made from poisonous weeds and make them all sick. It's up to Gimmick, Grubby, and Teddy to save the day for the Grunge All-Stars...which of course they do. Grudgingly, Tweeg hands over Gimmick's prize, which was promised to be the chest of gems, but is really just filled with coal.

S1.E30 ∙ Tweeg Joins M.A.V.O.

The Wooly-What's-It drops in on the Trio, and they show him Gimmick's "All About Fobs" book and the Crystal book belonging to Teddy. Unfortunately, Tweeg, who's about to be initiated into M.A.V.O., just happens to be eavesdropping. When the four head up to the loft, Tweeg sneaks in and swipes the book left on the coffee table. When the Trio and Wooly discover the theft, they (correctly) guess Tweeg must have stolen it. Teddy is revved up to get it back from M.A.V.O., but strangely, Gimmick isn't as excited. Tweeg is congratulated by Quellor, head of M.A.V.O., for bringing him the book. During all this, the four sneak in, posing as caterers. They swipe back the book and run off. Tweeg and L.B. are throw in the dungeon. Once they get back to the house, Teddy wonders why Gimmick didn't care that M.A.V.O. had the Crystal book, but Gimmick explains that Tweeg had actually stolen his fob book instead, and not Teddy's book.

They find the plans to Gimmick's Airship and sell them to Quellor.

The Jungle Grunges need help when their oversized vegetables start to disappear. Gimmick tries to set a trap, but gets caught in it himself. The thieves are uncovered as the Anythings, who were excited about their new name and status, and didn't realize they were stealing from the Grunges. Some Anythings are disguised as vegetables and are almost cut up to be part of Grunge Gumbo, but are saved in the last few seconds. While this is happening, Quellor and M.A.V.O. have unveiled their own Airship, dubbed the "Eclipse", and set out to find Teddy, the gang, and the elusive Crystals.

After walking the plank and following from The Eclipse, Teddy lands in the middle of a river that feeds Leekee Lake. Teddy is rescued by a mysterious stranger. The Anythings attempt to pilot the trio's airship, but crash it near King Nogburt's Castle. Prince Arin and Princess Aruzia learn from the Anythings about the battle. Meanwhile Quellor interrogates Grubby and Gimmick as to the whereabouts of the Crystals. He believes them to be hidden in Gimmick's airship.

S1.E35 ∙ Escape from M.A.V.O.

Teddy is found by Leota and Wooly near Leekee Lake. Wooly disguises himself as a monster to join M.A.V.O. and try to rescue Grubby and Gimmick. In the mean time Arin, Aruzia and the Anythings arrive with Gimmick's airship in M.A.V.O. Their mission is to save Grubby and Gimmick. The Anythings take on Grubby and Gimmick's appearance to fool Quellor. Tweeg and LB are in M.A.V.O.'s hanger preparing The Eclipse for battle. Teddy manages to infiltrate M.A.V.O. and ends up in the hanger searching for the hidden Crystals. He also finds his friends Grubby and Gimmick.

S1.E36 ∙ Leekee Lake

After Teddy, Grubby and Gimmick sabotaged The Eclipse and it ended up wrecked in the Leekee Lake, the three friends try to retrieve the Crystals. However the airship's wreck has sunk too deep into the lake. Teddy, Grubby and Gimmick spend the night in the company of the Surf Grunges, who tell the story of the mysterious hermit of Leekee Lake. Teddy becomes more and more convinced the hermit saved him before. While Quellor begins the search for his wrecked airship, Teddy discovers a scuba gear, which is left mysteriously by the lake and is a perfect fit. Teddy successfully recovers the 6 Crystals from the wreck of the Eclipse, and also finds Quellor's Black Box, which has a Seventh Crystal, which is different than the other six, and is cracked.

Fuzz is kidnapped by Tweeg whose demands are to drive Gimmick away from the valley. Teddy, Grubby and Gimmick discover the power of the Third Crystal - it can make things invisible. The trio use the Crystal to make themselves invisible to rescue Fuzz. Meanwhile Quellor sends Drudge, to fetch his cousin Dredge to help in retrieving the Black Box from the wreck of the Eclipse.

Teddy is attacked underwater by Dredge. The monster pulls out Teddy's helmet and only the Fourth Crystal which produces air saved him. Dredge is driven off by a stranger, who happens to be the Hermit of Leekee Lake and is an Illiop. The Hermit shows Teddy a wealth of technology left on the island in the middle of Leekee Lake. The Hermit shares that he can't recall his name or how he came to be a hermit. He then takes Teddy to an undersea boat, which Teddy activates with one of the Crystals.

S1.E39 ∙ The Black Box

Grubby and Gimmick watch the Seventh Crystal projecting a hologram of Illiops living in the Hard To Find City, and then Teddy as a young boy, running to his mother. They decide to go to Leekee Lake and inform Teddy of the discovery. In the commotion, LB manages to steal the Black Box and takes it to Tweeg. Tweeg brings the Black Box to M.A.V.O. so that he could seal his lifetime membership at the Organization. However when Ickly points out that the Supreme Oppressor must poses the Black Box at all times, and since Tweeg possesses it, he must be the Supreme Oppressor. Quellor is thrown in the dungeon. Meanwhile the Hermit shows Teddy an ancient underwater city at the bottom of Leekee Lake. Grubby and Gimmick arrive with the airship and the Hermit runs away.

S1.E40 ∙ The Hard to Find City

Teddy shows Gimmick and Grubby the wonders of the technology the Hermit has shown him. He also brings them to the cave with a secret door, opened by one of the Crystals. The three friends go down the revealed staircase to find themselves in the Hard to Find City. Meanwhile, the Eclipse is raised from the bottom of Leekee Lake. Tweeg declares war on the Gutangs. LB frees Quellor of the dungeon to alert the Gutangs of the impending attack. Quellor challenges Tweeg to use the power of the Black Box, and Tweeg triggers the device only to erase his own memory. The Gutangs are in pursuit of the Trio, who escape back down the tunnel.

Teddy, Grubby and Gimmick settle on towing the Airship with the Subwater Boat. But they end up in a hurricane, where encounter a ship manned by Octopedes. Grubby recalls that once the Octopedes ship saved his life. Meanwhile LB is thrown out of M.A.V.O. because he tries to steal the Black Box in order to give back Tweeg's memories. LB makes his way to Eleanor's house.

A spy notifies the Wizard of Ying about the arrival of the Trio and Captain Xelxa's crew. The Wizard of Ying sends his three henchmen named to collect the uninvited guests for his zoo. Teddy and Grubby set off in search for wood to repair the Octopedes' ship. Mindless Tweeg arrives in M.A.V.O. only to be sold to the Wizard of Ying for his zoo by Quellor. Gimmick and the Octopedes are captured, forcing Teddy and Grubby to take the Subwater Boat in pursuit. LB returns to Tweeg's tower in attempt to sell the donuts Tweeg made while trying to make gold from buttermilk to the bounders. LB accidentally picks up a donut-shaped bracelet made of gold, which leads him to believe that Tweeg's formula has actually worked. Hearing the news, Quellor sends out a party to retrieve Tweeg. Quellor intends to restore Tweeg's mind to get the gold formula.

The Wizard of Ying shows them his collection including an illiop cage which is empty. He shares that he used have an illiop who has escaped. Teddy drops his disguise but unable to escape, ends up in the illiop's cage.

Teddy remains locked in the cage, where he discovers a carving on the floor that says "Teddy + Ilana". Suddenly he comes up with the notion that the previous occupant illiop of the cage might have been his father. Meanwhile Quellor arrives at the zoo and demands Tweeg's release. Quellor restores Tweeg's memory and gets the gold recipe from him. During the absence of the Wizard who is with Quellor, Grubby, Gimmick and the Octopedes set their escape plan using the roller coaster in motion.

Meanwhile Quellor discovers the bogus recipe Tweeg has given him to make gold and Quellor swears revenge on the scoundrel.

The Wizard of Grundo being the host of the whole festival scheme, unveils the mystery prize - a giant box. The Wizard tells Louie in confidence that the box is empty at the moment. Nevertheless the games begin.

The third day of the competition involves the teams to begin a journey from the Great Volcano, then through the Great Desert, Woodley Bog, and Boggley Wood before camping for the night in Gimmick's Valley. Gimmick uses the Third Crystal on Grubby to make him invisible in order for Grubby to steal some coals for the airship near the Mudblup caves. Gimmick zaps Grubby but not with the Third Crystal but the Fifth. Grubby slurs his speech and the three friends discover that the power of the Fifth Crystal is to increase and decrease objects. Meanwhile, Quellor learns of Tweeg's participation in Wizardweek and sends Drudge, Sludge, and Trudge to collect him. The henchmen catch up with Tweeg on the edge of Woodley Bog. LB convinces them that Tweeg has a fatal contagious disease and frightens them off.

S1.E50 ∙ A Race to the Finish

During the final day of the competition, the teams resume the race, which takes them through the Jungle With No Name, over Trembly Fault, and on to the finish line. Prince Arin and Princess Aruzia are in the lead but make a stopover at the Jungle Grunges' village for minor repairs. There they are spotted by Quellor's henchmen who deduce that Tweeg must be hiding in the village since he is half Grundge. Arin and Aruzia decide they need a hit and go for the nearest supply of Grunge Gumbo with Vitamin Z, transforming them into the Iron Warrior and the Aluminum Amazon. While they are beating up Quellor's henchmen, Teddy, Grubby and Gimmick arrive. The trio ceases the beating and return Arin and Aruzia to normal. Meanwhile the henchmen escape and gather some green goop to pass off as Tweeg's remains. Teddy, Grubby and Gimmick win the Great Grundo Ground Race, and return to the Jungle Grunges' village along with Arin and Aruzia. With the help of the Fifth Crystal, they repair the damage to the settlement. The Wizard of Grundo arrives and presents them with the prize which is a carousel with cars fashioned after the vehicles used in the race. At M.A.V.O., a celebration is also in progress over the return of Quellor's henchmen with Tweeg's "remains".
