Joe comes to a Railroad Station where he's taken by the Station's Guard. There Joe uses his Army training to help the Guard who is having problems with thieves stealing from freight cars.
A fisherman discovers his nephew is constantly skipping his classes. He comes up with a plan to get him back in school but he needs Joe's help to make it happen.
Joe becomes the fire dog for a Department in a city where unfortunately two boys Jeff and Robbie are setting off false fire alarms. Then they have to learn the hard way about what they've done as Joe saves them from a real fire.
Joe falls asleep in a barn where a little girl Judy find's him nurses him back to health but unfortunately her stepfather hates dogs and wants to get rid of him so Judy runs away with Joe.
Joe sneaks on to a truck and ends up at wild Animal Park and is befriended and taken in by a little boy Tim and his Father who own the Dolphin act at the park then make Joe apart of the show.
Joe finds Amy, a blind girl, who's gotten lost in the forest where he not only protects her but leads her to safety and Amy in return saves him from harm.
