Aging PI Sam Aquino who's contemplating retirement, due to a competing company takes on a case involving Lisa, the daughter of Sandra, who's a close personal friend of Sam's assistant Donna, who's goes missing from their home. At the same time Sam's granddaughter Megan seeks help through Donna to obtain her adoption papers from her mother Christine.

Still upset over her adoption papers, Megan then takes her frustrations out on her girlfriends, while Sam makes a personal visit to the Alliance Surveillance company to obtain clues about Lisa's disappearance.
