Lars has come to Søndre Bjøllåvann with her dogs. Bjøllåvann is known as Norway's best shipping water. Manages Lars to get the big fish on the hook? Two supervisers from the state's mountain supervision invite Lars with to look for hunting falcon, it is only observed three places in the Saltfjellet, and is one of Norway's most endangered animal species. Lars continues with the dog panned over the stunning glacier Svartisen and down to Engabreen. Here he gets his first breach.

In the summer, the dog Kayaque gets with Lars on tour. Kayaque is an Alaskan Malamute, too heavy to run in Lars' dog sledding, but good at wearing cloves. With the trip, the friend Trond as Lars also went along with 15 years ago. Trond is convinced that he is better at fishing than Lars. The trip goes with canoe over Norway's third largest lake, Femunden and up the Røavasdraget.

Lars and dog Kayaque starts the 35 mile long walk over Finnmarksvidda. They follow the old Postruta over the Vidda north to Stabburdalen National Park.

Lars and Kayaque continue over Finnmarksvidda to butter time and then to Bringnes, where there are sacrificial sites from older Sami time. They seek refuge in the subsea tunnel leading to the Magerøya and North Cape.
