The festival begins and the adventurers participate in local games. River Styx participates in the dance competition, and they all retire to their rooms for the night. During the night, the group experience the same gruesome dream.
After discussing the nightmare they all experienced, they discover a murder victim. Crazed citizens with spiked irises in their eyes suddenly start attacking others with pure hatred, hurling the settlement of Chimevald into violent chaos.
The group meets Naus Gaki and learn of the curse and its cause and are tasked to venture the mountains around the Titan's Eye to gather materials to concoct a substance capable of slowing down the infection.
After a miracle brings an ally back from the brink, the party continues their journey for the concoction's ingredients. They travel to an ancient temple that reveals to them the secrets of the stars.
Through her newfound connection to the Red Pantheon, Lucine ends up summoning a Shaper who provides the party aid. He then proceeds to peer into the past, present and futures of some of the members of the party.
The party returns to the Inquistor's temple with the gathered ingredients. After discussing various options of what to do next, they decide to head toward the Titan's Eye to investigate and locate the Veiled Legion.
