Having returned to her summer range, a mountain lion must compete with other animals in the ecosystem for food. After a missed kill, she returns home to her 3 cubs that rely on her for food.
After chasing off a male mountain lion to protect her cubs, the mother returns to her den to find one of her cubs missing. She must continue to teach her remaining cubs to survive while holding out hope that her missing cub will return.
