Personal recollection has it that Moonstrike must have had a 2nd airing after it's 1963 airing. However, an excellent series that gripped my early teenage imagination. This particular episode is one that stick in my mind. It opens with an arms drop to the resistance with the arms being taken to a farm and hidden away, with the resistance team then settling down to relax. When a large German patrol arrives, the members of the team quickly hide within the farmhouse with the farmer and his wife being left to face the patrol. After a perfunctory search, the Germans are looking as if they are about to leave when one of the men hidden in the attic moves, making a noise heard by the German. Querying the noise, he gets the response that is was only rats. Drawing his pistol, he then fires at random through the ceiling, hitting one of the men above who starts to bleed heavily. When the blood begins to drip into the kitchen, he makes the comment, "Oh look. Blood. I have hot a rat!" and orders his men upstairs where they spray the attic with bullets from their machine pistols, killing or wounding almost everyone up there. Dragging the wounded and bodies downstairs, they load them into their lorries and depart. After they depart, one survivor, an older man, slowly comes down the stairs and looks about himself in abject horror.

With France fallen, former officer Gaston arrives in Marseilles from Paris wanting to set up a resistance group. Ruthlessly using the wife of Renee Buthot, to help his cover, he finds she has betrayed him to the Germans and will now die.

The Colonel is running a resistance in a small village near Paris. His major problem is Anatole, who runs a group in the hills, and takes what he wants regardless. When a female radio operator is dropped in he palms her off to Anatole.

French resistance get a tip from a foreman, of a factory, near the Switz border. The Germans are making precision casings under the guidance of a Dutchman, interesting London. Two S.O.E. men are sent over to destroy it.
