The first installment of "Jon Boschen's Classic Industrial Film Showcase" presents one of Mr. Boschen's favorite industrial and documentary films of all time "Aluminum on The March". This film is THE definite industrial film, as it's graced with gorgeous Cinematography, an outstanding musical score, and Stop Motion Animation.

Two 10-minute theatrical short films, "Color Harmony" (1938) and "Seeing Green" (1937), are the subject in this installment of "Jon Boschen's Classic Industrial Film Showcase". Both films were produced by the Jam Handy Organization and were entries in the studio's iconic short film series being produced for Chevrolet, 'Direct Mass Selling'. Unlike other entries in the series which consisted of either black and white live action films or Technicolor animated cartoons, these two films utilized the black and white to Technicolor technique as a way to enhance their subject matter.

Jerry Fairbank's 1948 Standard Oil (Indiana) film "Inside Story of Modern Gasoline" is the subject of this installment of "Jon Boschen's Classic Industrial Film Showcase". This classic industrial film explores Standards Red and White crown brands that were being marketed during the post World War 2 era. The film makes great use of cinematography, cartoon animation, and a terrific musical score to discuss and sell the brand. The "Inside Story of Modern Gasoline" was one of two versions of the film that was made simultaneously; this version being produced for internal exhibition amongst Standard Oil employees. The second version "Gasoline's Amazing Molecules" (currently missing) was prepared for public exhibition, and interestingly has the same running time as "Inside Story Of Modern Gasoline". Boschen's intro to the film gives background information on t the Standard Oil Company of Indiaan and also the Jerry Fairbanks studio.

A 1951 animated cartoon that was commissioned by Sunsweet Growers Inc. is the subject of this installment of 'Jon Boschen's Classic Industrial Film Showcase'. The cartoon, which was produced by All Scope Pictures and contracted out to Harman and Ising Cartoons, cleverly uses the theme of Hollywood moviemaking to demonstrate the life and exploit the health benefits of a Prune. The film also features a rare caricature appearance of notable radio commentator John Nesbit, who narrates the film. Boschen's intro to the film gives background information on Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, John Nesbit, and Sunsweet Growers.
