Joanna, a famous British actor, starts her long journey from Hong Kong to go over 6000 miles to Moscow. This first part follows her to Beijing, and into Mongolia.
Joanna is in Mongolia where she spends some time with some Mongolian nomads. She also visits a giant statue of Genghis Khan and a gold mine and spends time in the capital Ulan Bator where she tracks down the amazing Mongolian throat singers before catching the train to Russia.
Joanna visits one of the world's deepest lakes and also meets an oligarch. She then makes her way to the city where the Russian royal family were killed. After she makes her way to Moscow she explores Stalin's nuclear bunker and meets some local models.
