Evidence of an impending attack in Hamburg puts the police authorities on high alert. The focus is on LKA man Gabriel Bach, who maintains contact with informants from the extremist scene. But events from his time as an undercover investigator in the right-wing milieu make the leadership doubt him. The straightforward BKA officer Holly Valentin is assigned to him. When the informant Youssef Hassan is found dead, Gabriel and Holly recruit the Afghan substitute teacher Raza Shaheen, who knew the dead man slightly but has nothing to do with terrorism or organized crime.

Suspicions are growing that the attack is to take place in the Elbphilharmonie: during a concert by the Jewish star conductor David Levy and his Muslim first violinist Parisha Ashkar. The director refuses to cancel the concert. Raza begins his work as an informant out of fear that otherwise his girlfriend Sadia, whose residency status is unclear, will be deported to Afghanistan. Raza's first assignment takes him to Youssef's funeral. There he meets his brother Dadir and is immediately put to the test.

His work as an informant distances Raza from his family more and more. At the same time, his work puts him under constant pressure. And he discovers unexpected abilities. Together with Dadir, he meets Gol Rahmani, a powerful drug lord. This seems to bring him closer to the circle of possible assassins. Is Rahmani "Big Shot"? At the same time, a young man, Rafik Orsho, is arrested in the Elbphilharmonie. He had illegally gained access to the catacombs of the Elbphilharmonie and is keeping a tight lip about his motives.

Emilia finds out that her husband Gabriel is having an affair in the right-wing extremist scene that he never really ended. She turns to Holly to find out more. Holly builds a close relationship, but she remains silent about the secrets surrounding Gabriel. Raza has been betrayed, Gol Rahmani makes an example of him and Dadir. Raza only narrowly escapes with his life. Gabriel and Holly have to find out whether their informant was exposed from within their own ranks. But Gabriel freaks out when Holly drops the clue against their agreements.

Holly is urged to act by her boss Edgar Braun: results are needed. Holly has Raza's father, brother and girlfriend brutally arrested in their shared apartment. This injustice has a deep impact, especially on Sadia, who doesn't want to see Raza again. Gabriel, who shot himself in the foot by physically attacking Edgar Braun, sees another chance for himself when Raza turns up at his house. Gabriel persuades Raza to let him arrest him. Holly has to answer for the arrest of the Shaheen family and is taken off the investigation. Gabriel and Raza come up with a plan.

Gabriel rehabilitates Raza as an informant when he informs him about a warehouse of illegal explosives. But when they fall into a trap, things have already taken their own course. Nothing is as it seems: Gabriel and Holly are running behind the times. Meanwhile, Emilia leaves her husband for good and meets Holly, who has been sidelined at work. She has to finally decide what kind of person she wants to be. Raza finds his own apartment empty. Where are his father and brother?
