Mikako and Tsutomu are childhood friends, but they always seem to fight each other every time they meet. When Tsutomu becomes popular with the girls at school, Mikako starts questioning whether she likes him or not.
Mikako has decided to keep a cat and invites Tsutomu to buy cat supplies after school. However, Tsutomu prioritizes the group date with Yusuke and breaks his promise with Mikako.
Mariko decides to change her style to match with Tsutomu as they're now officially a couple. Meanwhile Tsutomu gets angry as Mikako and Yusuke seem to start getting closer to each other.
Mikako and the others try to decide on a name for the circle. Jiro is the only one who doesn't know what to sell and begins to worry whether he has any artistic talent or not.
Mikako is eager to participate in the flea market, but Tsutomu and the others don't seem to have the will to do it. Later, Mikako receives a call from Tsutomu that he has found a place for everyone to hang out.
Mikako and the others make their debut at the flea market. The products lined up in the store are starting to sell, and it seemed like they were off to a good start. But Yusuke suddenly gets into a fight with a customer and storms off.
Ruriko returns from an autograph session and bumps into Toku-chan on her way home. Noriji sees the two of them together and Mikako is shocked when she hears Noriji's story.
The school holds an annual sports festival and Mikako volunteers to be the leader of the cheering team. As she spends more time with Yusuke preparing for the event, Tsutomu is not at peace when he sees them together all the time.
Mikako and her group decide to go to an amusement park together at Yusuke's invitation. However, the only people who gathered were Mikako, Tsutomu, Yusuke, and Mariko.
Misunderstood that Tsutomu is heartbroken, Mikako begins thinking of ways to make him happy. She decides to give him a Cub motorcycle as a gift and goes out to look for a part-time job.
Pii-chan's precious stuffed animal, Petit Francois, is gone. It was an important item for her, filled with memories of her grandmother. So, with the help of Tsutomu and his friends, they all go out to find it.
Mariko goes back home to visit her childhood friend and first love. Yusuke and his friends come to her apartment to cheer her up. Tsutomu, who has just broken up with Mariko, tries to show concern for her without getting into the truth.
Tsutomu and the others plan to gather in Mariko's apartment for Akindo activities. However, when Mariko returns back home, their plans are no longer in place and Yusuke becomes more concerned about her.
Tsutomu and Mikako decide to get Risa on their way to the flea market. However, Mikako is shocked to learn that Risa has a boyfriend, and there is an awkward atmosphere between them.
Mikako is unable to be honest with Tsutomu and becomes worried. On the other hand, Yusuke gets angry with Mariko thinking she is only using him as a chauffeur.
Tsutomu introduces his classmate Ayumi and is asked to help make a signboard for Akindo. However, Mikako becomes irritated by the friendly nature of the two.
After seeing Yusuke and Ayumi together, Mariko decides to help make the Akindo sign. Risa notices Mikako has been feeling sad and directly asks Tsutomu about his true feelings for Ayumi.
Mikako becomes a little more honest and finally communicates her feelings with Tsutomu. On the other hand, Mariko finds out that Ayumu has feelings for Yusuke and becomes irritated.
Ruriko becomes worrisome about Mikako and gets distracted from finishing her deadline. All she can think of is the possibility that Mikako will make a mistake in her relationship with Tsutomu and starts imagining their life together.
Mariko cancels her appointment with Shuji and decides to participate in Akindo's flea market. However, Ayumu ends up joining them, and she immediately becomes displeased.
Akindo's second store opening is a great success. Unfortunately, Mikako is the only one struggling to sell her designs, so she gets advice from Hamada-sensei.
An unexpected person visits Mariko at the flea market, and Mikako realizes that all the clothes she's been making have been for the person she loves the most.
At a boutique in town, Mikako reunites with her mentor, whom she met at the flea market. Mikako learns that she is a clothing designer and is happy to see a professional's work right in front of her eyes.
The robot that Tsutomu created and gave to Mikako to cheer her up is mistaken for a new product at a flea market. Due to that incident, Tsutomu feels a disconnect with her.
Mariko gets a confession from Noguchi, a second year design student. The relationship between Mariko and Yusuke becomes tense, but she eventually learns that Noguchi has ulterior motives.
Risa and her boyfriend make plans to go to a rock concert. During her work shift, an older man named Osawa appears to be looking for a movie which he's seen when he was younger. Sympathizing with Osawa, Risa helps him search for the video.
Mariko is so anxious that she skips the Akindo meeting. Ayumi doesn't want to make Yusuke sad, so she decides to suppress her feelings and tries to find Mariko to reason with her.
The group is able to use Ayumi's atelier as a new hangout spot, so they come up with a plan to remodel the place. Despite everyone having fun at their new hangout, Yusuke is worried about Mariko.
Noriji is asked by Ruriko to go deliver something that Mikako left behind. On the way, he meets Pii-chan, Mariko, Ayumi and Risa. Noriji sees how each of the girls are doing their best and he can't help but feel moved by their ambition.
Mikako receives a handmade locket from Tsutomu that can hold a photo. She comes up with the idea of putting one of her father inside the pendant, but realizes that all of the photos in her home are gone.
Realizing Mikako's true feelings of wanting to meet her father, Tsutomu finds information about him in a magazine. Mikako hears this and heads to a photo exhibition to reunite with her father in secret.
Mikako was reunited with her father and talks about all the past things that have happened since her parents divorced. Meanwhile, Ruriko is also visiting the photo exhibition by herself.
When Mikako learns that Ruriko threw away a postcard from her father, she no longer wants to see her. Risa, who understands her feelings, calls for everyone to gather together to cheer her up.
Mikako regains her energy with everyone's encouragement. Her school is now on summer vacation, and she and her friends get serious about remodeling their atelier.
Due to Mariko's jealousy, her relationship with Yusuke becomes strained. However, after she helped put up wallpaper in the atelier, a friendship between her and Ayumu began to grow.
When Ruriko learns that Mikako visited her father's photo exhibition, her anxiety grows. Also, Tsutomu is worried about his own helplessness because he can't do anything for Mikako.
When Mikako hears that a famous designer is looking for new talent at the flea market, she becomes motivated. But, when Mikako returns home, her mother is not there and she becomes worried.
Ruriko fell down with a stomach ulcer and was hospitalized. Despite her anxiety, Mikako feels the reassurance of Tsutomu's presence, and for the first time, she tells Tsutomu that she loves him from the bottom of her heart.
Everyone in Akindo is worried when they hear that Ruriko has been hospitalized. Mikako, whose suspicions about her mother have been cleared, is taking care of Ruriko. Then, an unexpected visitor comes to see them.
Ruriko is safely discharged from the hospital and heads to the flea market where Mikako and the others are attending. Meanwhile, Mikako waits nervously for the visit of a famous designer brought on by her mentor.
