In the summer of 1908 the workers in the docks of Malmö went on strike for better conditions. The police and military were called in to keep order, and the employers took in British workers to do the job. This was considered highly provocative by the striking Swedish workers. The British workers were temporarily living on a ship called Amalthea. On the night between 11 and 12 July, three young unemployed workers, including Anton Nilson, put a bomb outside Amalthea, supposedly meant to scare. The bomb exploded, killing one and wounding 23.

The Murder of Doris Winther-Löfdahl
Doris was found murdered in Nacka, Sweden, July 17, 1910. She was found in an open grave with ritual or mysterious elements. Her jewelry were stolen. The murderer was never found, but the jewelry was, around the neck of Doris friend Polly. They were both young party girls.

The Von Sydow Murders
On March 7, 1932, the politician Hjalmar von Sydow, his cook Karolina Herou and his maid Ebba Hamn was all three murdered in von Sydow's apartment in Stockholm. His son Fredrik's wife Ingun was later shot by Fredrik, before he killed himself. Fredrik was about to be arrested by the police suspected for the murder of his father.
