Live entertainment included demonstrations by the Gilbert Fire Department's accelerant sniffing dog and Gilbert Police Department's K-9 Unit, there was a huge raffle, pet trick contest, human/canine Halloween costume contest, a record 150 dog washes, one human engagement, and the always popular adoption alumni parade.

The Phoenix Zoo's two Sumatran tigers, Jai and Suriya, have settled into their new habitat: Isle of the Tiger. Boasting 16,000 square feet of environment the tigers have fully embraced their new digs. Just like with house cats, it took some getting used to, but Jai and Suriya are now happy to use their pools, rolling the grass and take long luxurious catnaps. The zoo hopes that there might be tiger cubs in the spring.
