Insisting they have no need for mothering, Max and Rex ditch Zoe and head off to the Swiss Alps, the location of the most recent dinosaur sighting. They are surprised to find the Maiasaura is protecting her egg and not budging, even withstanding the Alpha Gangs attacks. Zoe is able to calm the Maiasaura down and teach the boys what mothering is all about.

As soon as they arrive Chomp befriends the Styracosaurus -- a distant reptilian relative -- leaving the kids plenty of time to soak up some island sun before heading home with a new dinosaur card. But as quickly as the D-Team starts to enjoy the island paradise, the Alpha Gang arrives, intent on stealing the dinosaur to bolster their own prehistoric posse.

Can they reunite with the D-Team and prevent the Alpha Gang from claiming the Ankylosaurus?

All are surprised to come across a large collection of dinosaur cards and end up in a race across Japan to keep it from falling into the hands of the Alpha Gang.
