Milca is worried that her daughter Naama is 16 and not yet married, so she sets a date for her with Reu'el, a soldier in Samson's army. However, Reu'el also has to evade the two Philistine guards that look for him.
Love letters left in Milca's and Naama's house send the village guessing who's Naama's new suitor, until it turns out that the suitor is Shelach and that he is interested in Milca.
When Milca and Naama want to upgrade their household with a slave, they turn to Elyakum, who sells them a Hebrew slave, only to have Achish posing as the slave.
While Achish is on vacation, Mafish tries to install a new peaceful regime in the village, only for Reu'el (disguised as Elyakum) to lead him astray when he translates Mafish's loving Philistine words to Hebrew swear words.
A writer for a new project called "The Bible" visits the village and everyone tries to get into the book, except for Milca, who forms a special bond with the writer, who is enchanted with her proverbs.
