Gränsvakter mot trafficking
On the border between Nepal and India, Sita works as a border guard. Her mission is to detect and stop the trafficking of girls from Nepal to India. There are over 200,000 Nepalese women in the Indian sex industry. Many are children, some are as young as eight years old. They are held captive in brothels and some receive 40 men every day. The organization Sita works for has homes where rescued girls can live and receive an education. Many who work for the organization have themselves been exempted from brothels or stopped at the border. Through their work, Sita and the others want to prevent girls from ending up in the child sex trade.
