The life of history teacher Jurre Jansen is stuck in a rut. His wife, Sarah (Saar), who is a prosecutor, sleeps more at the office than at home, and his teenage children ignore him. When Jurre saves a girl from a precarious situation during their regular Friday take out night, he decides to keep it a secret at home. However, his act of heroism turns out to set off more than he could have ever imagined.
