Anna spends a summer on the mountain pasture - together with cottage dog Lukki, the cows, calves, chickens, ducks and many other surprise guests. Anna is not here for pleasure. She wants to find out how hard the work is on an alpine hut and helps dairymaid Kati wherever she can. This includes herding and milking cows, mucking out the barn, making hay and sweeping and feeding numerous visitors who are hungry and thirsty after a hike. Anna gets quite out of breath. But besides the work, there is also time for fun. Anna meets Friedi, one of the world's best slack liners. He teaches the reporter how to balance on a narrow, taut band. With naturalist Steffi, Anna observes cute marmots doing their gymnastic exercises on the mountain slopes and learns exciting information about the life of the mountain dwellers. And with forester Christian and hunting dog Nira, Anna sets off in search of tracks in the mountain forest. Every day a new adventure awaits the young alpine dairymaid. The first episode begins with the mountain pasture drive: after a long winter, dairymaid Kati brings her cows back to the mountain pasture. The excitement is great and the cows trot happily up. Anna is there at the turbulent start. When they arrive at the mountain hut, the dairymaid and her apprentice immediately receive the next inhabitants of the mountain pasture: four little calves. They spend their first summer in the mountains and jump for joy one buck after the other in their pasture. Anna then gets to know Lukki the hut dog, looks after the chickens and ducks and takes a look at the rustic alpine parlor. And after an eerie encounter in a clearing and a cozy campfire, Anna falls asleep at the end of the first day, dog-tired but happy.
