Delivering horses, Stan Bradford gets caught up in Cobb Wayne's attempt to stop Jeff Corbin from completing the telephone line. If Corbin fails to meet the deadline, Wayne can take over. Bradford wants to return to his ranch, but when Wayne's man shoots Corbin, he takes over the job.

Emilia, a journalist from Moscow, has everything - name and fame, wealth, spectacular career and family well being - but nothing brings her happiness. Ventsi finds himself in an awkward position which requires him to stand by his principles or help Maya who is divorced and has a young son to care for. The director of the institute decides to take advantage of Ventsi's vulnerable position and use Maya's weakness. He asks her to sign a document which he will use against Ventsi and she complies...
