An anthology film with 20 stories on the subject of words and communication, linked to one another over a 400-metre stretch: from Madrid's Lavapiés Square to the Sala Mirador. A journey between theatre and cinema, filmed in a single fixed shot running continuously over 80 minutes and half a kilometer, in Madrid's popular Lavapiés district. The characters talk, argue, laugh, cry, threaten, whisper, shout, steal, make dates, get angry with and hug one another, prompting the spectator to reflect on the immense power of words.

Banani is the daughter of a rich man, brought up by gypsies after he abandoned her due to the grief of losing his wife. She and Bijon, the son of a landlord, fall in love when the gypsies come to his father's estate.

Fathi is a university doctor in Beirut University, and his wife, Samia, is a TV presenter who is surprised by the arrival of Matilda, the daughter of his Swedish friend, to live with them. Samia is jealous of Matilda's beauty, as Matilda begins to flirt with Fathi and he tries to resist her temptation.

Dr. Lau runs a small clinic in a shabby area, treating local inhabitants and prostitutes. One night, he unexpectedly meets his old friend from college time, Dr. Jaw. Jaw is determined to speed up his career ascent at the expense of Lau.

Ksyusha's graduation is coming soon, and it's terrible. She doesn't know what to do with her life. And handsome Pogulyaev, whom Ksyusha is in love with, does not pay attention to her, because Ksyusha is fat.

Antonin is a bit of a dandy. He has a way with words that could have made him a famous writer, but instead mostly serves to get him out of trouble.
