Alejandra is an awkward, socially inept teenager from Merlville. She, and her childhood best friend, Nelly, a football playing jock, find themselves getting caught in all kinds of trouble in the multiverse! Previously from a normal, everyday universe (similar to our own), Alejandra obtains a shiny, magical zipper that can unzip the threads of reality, opening a portal to unknown universes in the multiverse. Accidentally roping Nelly into it, the two find themselves trying to find a way back home ... little do they know? They will need to gain enough portal power to jump from universe to universe!
How will they do so? By obtaining other Zipped Keys! But only a ruler of a universe can obtain such a thing. The more zipper keys you have, the more power you obtain.
Along their journey of finding their way home, Alejandra and Nelly meet Levi and Gadget, who are both from a wild west sci-fi mix universe. Levi and Gadget offer to help the gang in their endeavors to find a way home. With each other, they bounce from universes dictated by hybrid animals to galaxies full of circus clowns; they never know what to expect next! But still, Alejandra makes an honest attempt to redeem the broken societies in each universe they visit. With her friends by her side? Anything is possible!
