In the winter of 2011, NASA's Space Shuttle program was winding down. Terry and Ira, two 60-something buddies who grew up with the manned space flight program as one of the background soundtracks of their lives, realized that neither of them had ever seen a launch, and if they were ever going to, they had to get moving. In April, 2011, they hit the road in a jalopy that was, like them, aging, and a suitcase full of drugs at which they would have sneered in the Sixties: insulin, Tylenol, etc. The road to Cape Canaveral was long, and what happened along the way, surprising.—Anonymous
