The anonymous network activist group "Zero" is publicly committed to the media attack. Online journalist Cynthia Bonsant, widow and single mother, is asked to do background research on "Zero" by Tony Brenner, head of the online magazine "Daily". The group is classified as a terrorist organization by the protection of the constitution. When a friend of Cynthia's 17-year-old daughter Viola was shot dead in a hunt for a criminal that was publicly broadcast on the internet, Cynthia's suspicions were directed in this direction: The latest algorithms from the internet company "Freemee" give their users recommendations in real time for all areas of behavior to supposedly optimize their lives and make them happier. Cynthia suspects that these so-called "act apps" could be partly responsible for the death of the boy. And that behind all of this there could be an even bigger plot between the Act app provider "Freemee" and the government.
