Megan Daye (Irene Rich) and Gilbert Armes (Lewis Dayton) are about to get married when a petty quarrel puts an end to their plans. Gilbert marries Viola (Eileen Percy) instead. He and Magan are reconciled, however, after Viola's death in a boating accident at a summer resort where Megan is staying as a companion to a rich and grouchy old woman, Mrs. Harbours (Josephine Crowell).
