Chronicles the birth and childhood of Krishna, who is prophesied to be the death of his tyrannical uncle Kans. Also tells the story of Krishna's subsequent rebirth as Srinivas during which he is reunited with his foster mother Yashoda.
Lord Krishna is born as prophesied by a divine voice in the sky to destroy his cruel uncle Kamsa. As a child, Krishna is a merry prankster and is doted on his foster mother Yashoda. When he is called away to Mathura, Krishna meets his birth parents Vasudev and Devaki who had been jailed since before his birth and never returns. Heartbroken, Yashoda waits for her darling boy to return but it is only years later as an adult that he does. When the two are reunited, Krishna is already married with eight wives. He promises Yashoda they will meet again in another lifetime in which she will be his mother again and finally get to witness his wedding.—Anonymous
