Yakari is a young Native American boy from the Sioux tribe. With a special gift, a pure heart and a clever mind, Yakari has many adventures and learns just as many lessons while helping those around him.

An adaptation of the long-running Western comic book series "Yakari" (1973-) by the creator duo of Job/André Jobin and Derib/Claude de Ribaupierre. The series focuses on Yakari, a young Sioux boy who has the ability to understand and speak animal languages. The ability was granted to him by his patron deity, the Great Eagle, who continues to aid him and guide him. Unlike the other boys of his culture, Yakari rejects the use of weapons. He instead relies on his wits to survive in his adventures.—Dimos I
