Passengers of a tour bus on their way to Saudi Arabia's newly discovered ancient city, Iram of the Pillars, are exposed to a mysterious virus that turns its victims into violent, flesh eating monsters.
On the outskirts of Al Hasa, a tour bus carrying fifteen passengers is on its way to the excavation site of the ancient city known as Iram of the Pillars. They make a last stop for refreshments at a remote and erie gas station before they head into the desert towards Iram.
A number of characters regularly live stream to their fans and followers. Among them are Salma, a struggling photojournalist who has spent most of her life running from her responsibilities. She along with her paramedic brother Yusuf and their friends, are excited to see the wonders Iram holds. Habib, a funny yet cynical wannabe social media influencer who was dragged onto the trip by his uncle Abu Rashid, the head of a prominent local Saudi family of which Habib is the black sheep. Raju, a shy, brooding Indian maintenance worker at the gas station who's proficiency with social media has helped his spiritual leader Shamsuddin gain a sizable following. And Aziza, the brilliant, geeky daughter of an even more brilliant Pakistani disease research expert, Dr. Emran.
Before the travelers are able to continue their journey, a jeep pulls into the gas station with a man carrying more than just bad news from Iram. Violence and chaos erupt as the sick man attacks anyone near him and the vacationers struggle to make it back to their bus. But by the time they do, it's too late. Some of their loved ones have become infected and begin to viciously attack their own friends and family. The passengers defend themselves and are forced to kill the infected, but it only makes matters worse. As the infected die, they release more of the infectious dust cloud, further spreading the virus amongst the passengers of the bus.
Just as all seems lost, a mysterious man, Isa, arrives and rescues them. He invites them to take refuge in his nearby farmhouse, but not everyone trusts him as he seems to know more than he leads on and his motives are unclear. Without a choice, the survivors follow him to his shed, where they are attacked by yet more infected "Yajuj" from the surrounding area.
Now trapped inside the farmhouse, power struggles erupt as three factions form and come into deadly conflict with one another. Salma and her friends fight to stay alive as they try to get help from the nearby National Advance Research Center (Saudi ARC) from what they believe to be a highly infectious super corona virus. By contrast, Habib, believing that it is a man made poison, seeks to find the truth about a cyber terrorist group known as "The Wave", while his family takes up arms in preparation for war. Meanwhile, Raju unites the foreign working class to overcome the prophesized plague that they believe is among the signs of the end of days, Yajuj wa MajujCan our heroes put their differences aside to survive and prevent the outbreak from destroying humanity and ushering in the apocalypse?
