Dasha's adult life can hardly be called happy: her mother persuaded her to marry Igor, her friend's son, who drinks and lets loose. She is already over thirty, but she has no career, no true love, no children. During her student years, she left a girl in the maternity hospital and has lived with guilt ever since. But at one point Dasha decides to change everything - she quits her job, leaves her husband and goes in search of her daughter.
