It follows the goings-on of some teenage girls and boys in high school and beyond.
ADA follows a group of 16- to 17-year-old high school students on the turbulent road to adulthood. Themes such as sexual orientation, identity, bullying, body image, falling in love and friendship address both the magic and monstrosity of teenagehood. Ada (15), quirky and outspoken, stands out on her school playground. She's got something cool, but inscrutable. Clearly knows what she wants and what she stands for. She puts a toxic sweetheart of one of her friends in his place on the playground and when it goes viral throughout the school, Ada's name gets well known. ADA is compelling because of the coming-of-age story, relatable and relevant because of the real life aspect and themes, surprising because of the different layers in the storytelling and the different platforms and contexts.
