Rain pours down on a seemingly deserted city surrounded by thorns. Wolf gargoyles line the towers. Imprisoned in one of the towers a young woman, Veronique, locked away by her evil step siblings. They are the only survivors of a city that went to sleep for 1000 years, kept alive by an army of clockwork servants. The rest of the city s inhabitants lie around them, the decaying dormant. Veronique has a sister, a wolf sister separated from her at birth.
