The shy schoolgirl Tiko receives a book as a gift for her 11th birthday. She opens the book and accidentally releases the prankster witch Tickle. The magical girl was imprisoned in the book as punishment for her past mischief. Tiko has recently parted ways with her best friend who moved away, and she is glad to have Tickle as a replacement. Tickle decides to stay with her new friend, and uses magic to manipulate the memories of other people. The two girls are now considered "twin sisters" by everyone who encounters them. Tickle finds out that being part of a family is an entirely new experience for her, and she learns that magic is not a solution for every problem which she encounters. The two "sisters" have an adversarial relationship with their kid sister Hina, who likes to spy on them.—Dimos I
