Wishing For A Dream is a tale about hustling and trying to find success in perhaps the most challenging, inspiring and prestigious industry in the world -- the glitz and glamour world of Hollywood. Where magic and dreams are supposed to become reality. But not for everyone, and not without a price. Wishing For A Dream follows actress Mika Andrews (Sara Malakul Lane) as she goes about her daily activities in pursuit of her dreams, auditioning, putting on the best make-up and clothes, networking, hitting the gym to stay fit and attractive, and making the rounds with casting agents and producers -- all to put her best image forward in the hope of landing that next role that will make her a star. She deals with friends and family, some of whom are supportive, some who are not. Writer and director Louis Digman (Jared Cohn) puts his best efforts forward with his screenplays and music videos, making the rounds with producers and investors, networking to bring to life his debut project, Dead Wolf. He deals with producers, industry insiders and studio execs, who may or may not be able to help further his career. Together, Mika and Louis share their hopes, dreams, desires, and more often than not, their disappointments, broken hearts and despair. But they say good things come to those who persevere. In the end, a glimmer of hope with an unexpected turn of events may prove to be all the magic they need to make their dreams come true.—Gabriel Campisi
