His family stays behind, terrified and helpless.Arrived in Istanbul, Mehmet survives with various odd-jobs. After several hopeless attempts to speak with the German Consulate, he finally fills out an application for residence visa. After many days of waiting, his application is turned down without any reason, which caused his desperation to contact an organisation specialised in illegal border-crossing. A dangerous journey full of hope and fear begins.
